Connie Augoustinos: Keramos
The term ‘ceramic’ originates from the early Greek word keramos referring to articles made of clay by the process of burning. Informed by her Hellenic heritage and her recent residency on the Greek Island of Skopelos, Adelaide-based ceramic artist Connie Augoustinos relates to her ancestral history and cultural identity through her keramos.
Connie Augoustinos is a current tenant at JamFactory. She completed JamFactory’s Associate training program in 2017. Keramos is the artist’s first solo exhibition and is shown as part of this year’s SALA (South Australian Living Artists) Festival.
